By accessing or using Attendance Tracker ("the app", "the service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Attendance Tracker is a free, browser-based web application that allows users to track class and work attendance, manage timetables, and view attendance analytics. The app operates primarily using local browser storage and does not require user accounts or authentication.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Attendance Tracker only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the app in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law
  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the app's functionality or security
  • Use the app to store, process, or transmit any harmful, fraudulent, or deceptive content
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app's source code beyond what is permitted by applicable open-source licenses
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting us

4. Intellectual Property

All content, design elements, branding, code, and documentation associated with Attendance Tracker are the intellectual property of the Attendance Tracker team unless otherwise stated. The app's user interface design, logo, and original content are protected by copyright law.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the app's branding or design without prior written permission.

5. User Data & Privacy

Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy. As stated therein, we do not collect, store, or process any personal data on our servers. All attendance data is stored locally in your browser.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Attendance Tracker is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy or completeness of any attendance calculations, OCR text extraction, or analytics provided by the app.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Attendance Tracker and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data, attendance records, or timetable configurations
  • Academic penalties resulting from inaccurate attendance tracking
  • Any issues arising from browser data being cleared or corrupted
  • Errors in OCR text extraction from uploaded images

You acknowledge that all attendance data is stored locally in your browser and you are solely responsible for managing your local storage.

8. Third-Party Services

The app may utilize third-party services (such as Google Fonts for typography and AI APIs for OCR processing). These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, reliability, or data handling practices of third-party services.

9. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Termination

Since Attendance Tracker does not require user accounts, there is no formal termination process. You may stop using the app at any time. You can delete all stored data by using the "Reset App" function or clearing your browser's site data.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
